Not every wedding venue in West Michigan is created equal when it comes to floral design. Here are a few local favorites and how I think about flowers in each space!
Ivy House in Saugatuck, MI
The Ivy House in Saugatuck is one of my absolute favorite venues to design florals!! There's something about the clean, whitewashed walls, the natural light streaming through the greenhouse windows, and the indoor-outdoor flow that makes every bloom feel alive. I love how the space pairs effortlessly with seasonal flowers. Whether it's soft spring ranunculus or rich autumn dahlias, the Ivy House offers the perfect canvas to let flowers tell a story. As a wedding florist based in Holland, MI, I'm always inspired by the thoughtful design of this venue. It allows me to create floral work that feels both elevated and deeply personal. It's something that truly reflects the heart of each couple I get to design for. Definitely one if not the favorite on this list!
Baker Events in Holland, MI
Baker Events near downtown Holland, MI is one of my favorite venues to design wedding flowers!! As a local wedding florist in Holland, MI, I love how the exposed brick, tall windows, and industrial charm of the space provide the perfect backdrop for lush, seasonal floral design. Whether I'm creating romantic spring centerpieces or dramatic fall installations, the natural textures and warm light at Baker Events allow every bloom to stand out. It's a space that invites creativity and connection…two things I value deeply in my floral work. If you're planning a wedding at Baker Events and looking for a Holland, MI wedding florist who can bring your vision to life with intentional, garden-inspired design, I'd be honored to be part of your day.
Pillar Church in Holland, MI
Pillar Church, right downtown Holland, might be the most iconic building period in town. As a wedding florist based in Holland, I'm always inspired by the church's rich history, warm wood tones, and beautiful natural light that filters through the stained glass. The sanctuary offers a sacred, intimate atmosphere that pairs so well with soft, romantic blooms from delicate spring florals or rich, textured arrangements in the fall. I love creating floral designs that enhance the timeless beauty of the space while honoring the spiritual significance of the moment. If you're getting married at Pillar Church and looking for a florist in Holland, MI who understands how to bring reverence and beauty together through flowers, I'd be honored to be part of your day.
BONUS! Christian Reformed Campgrounds (Beach Wedding)
This is one of those hidden gems, and I'm completely biased because it's where we got married!! Set on a grassy bluff with a white gazebo overlooking Lake Michigan. It's peaceful, sacred, and feels like something out of a storybook. I design here with movement and restraint in mind: wispy grasses, soft florals that flutter in the breeze, and pieces that frame the view without competing with it. Everything stays low and grounded, so the water, the wind, and your vows can take center stage.
At De La Terre, I believe your wedding flowers shouldn't feel like they came out of a catalog, they should feel like they came out of the earth, right here, right now, for you. Because when you choose what's in season, you're not just choosing flowers. You're choosing to remember this moment forever. If you're looking for a wedding florist in Holland, MI, who can help you create flowers that feel as special and unforgettable as your love story, I'd love to help.
